Calm Presence.
Proper Ops.
Security That Gets It.
WakCo Security brings a people-first, festival-rooted approach to event safety across Auckland. We provide security staff, gate teams, site response, roaming patrols, crowd management, welfare-aware support, and practical on-ground presence for festivals, functions, venues, private events, film shoots, campgrounds, and controlled chaos.
Security That Actually Fits the Vibe
Not every event wants the big stiff “stand there and glare at everyone” energy. WakCo is built for spaces that still need proper structure, proper reporting, proper coverage, and proper safety — but without killing the atmosphere.
Built for events where people, flow, and energy all matter
We understand gates, guest flow, crew movement, vehicle access, roaming presence, overnight coverage, difficult conversations, and those weird little moments that can either become a problem... or get sorted quickly by someone calm who knows how to read a room.
What WakCo Brings
Best suited to events that want real security, but also want their guests, crew, artists, and patrons treated like actual humans.
Great For
The kind of spaces where good presence matters just as much as hard capability.
Core Services
More than “just put a guard there.” We look at movement, pressure points, vibe, communication, and how your site actually runs.
Gate & Entry Security
Front gate presence, access control, ticket and wristband support, queue flow, guest interaction, and that very special job of saying “nah bro, not with that attitude” in a professional way.
- Guest-facing but firm
- Queue and flow management
- Access rules actually enforced
Roaming Patrol & Response
Active site presence for crowd movement, suspicious activity, brewing issues, intoxication management, staff support, and all the little fires that are better handled before they become big fires.
- Patrols and pressure-point coverage
- Fast issue response
- High-visibility reassurance
Welfare-Aware Security
Some situations need force. A lot of situations need awareness, patience, communication, and someone who can tell the difference between a threat and a spun-out festival goblin having a rough night.
- Early intervention
- Better guest outcomes
- Works well alongside care teams
Overnight Site Security
Quiet hours are when weird little side quests begin. We provide overnight coverage for camps, venues, event infrastructure, vehicle areas, restricted zones, and sites that need eyes on them while everyone sleeps.
- Night patrols and perimeter watch
- Campground and site reassurance
- Useful when the raccoons become human
Service Guide
Every event is different, so final pricing depends on hours, staff numbers, licensing requirements, distance, overnight load, and how spicy your crowd is likely to get.
Single Guard Coverage
Best for smaller events, private functions, low-risk venue support, simple gate presence, or overnight watch.
- Visible on-site presence
- Basic entry, patrol, or watch
- Good for small-scale coverage
Dual Guard Ops
Better for gates plus roaming, crowd-facing work, split coverage, and events where one person alone would eventually be having a bad time.
- Better response flexibility
- Gate + patrol capability
- Safer for pressure moments
Multi-Staff Event Coverage
For festivals, larger functions, campgrounds, multi-zone sites, and events that need proper planning, shift structure, and full operational support.
- Gate, patrol, response, overnight
- Rostered staff and handovers
- Built around your site and budget
Small events: often suit 1 guard or 2-person coverage depending on flow and risk.
Festivals: usually need a mix of gate, roaming, overnight, and relief planning.
After-hours / overnights: may affect final rate depending on duration and site demands.
Best move: send the date, location, expected crowd size, and what kind of event it is.
How It Works
Pretty simple. Less waffle, more useful.
Send the Event
Tell us the date, location, rough crowd size, timings, and what kind of coverage you think you need.
We Scope It Properly
We look at gates, flow, overnight needs, risk points, and whether your plan is realistic or slightly cooked.
We Deploy the Right Team
From single guard cover to full event support, we match the staff and style to the site.
Your Event Runs Better
Safer space, clearer flow, less drama, and fewer weird little side quests becoming your problem.
Why WakCo?
Because security does not have to feel hostile to be effective.
Calm Under Pressure
We are not there to puff our chests out. We are there to read the room, hold the line, and handle issues properly.
Festival-Literate
We understand the difference between genuine risk, intoxicated nonsense, emotional overload, and normal event weirdness.
Client-Friendly Ops
Professional on site, easy to work with, and grounded enough to support both organisers and patrons without turning the whole thing into a prison yard.
Quick Questions
Stuff people usually ask when they are booking security, slightly late, and mildly stressed.
What kind of events do you cover?
Festivals, concerts, private events, venues, campgrounds, film shoots, functions, and other organised forms of beautiful human chaos. If people are gathering and you want it handled properly, that is usually our lane.
Are you the shouty macho kind of security?
No. Wrong shop. We are calm, switched-on, and capable. We can be firm when needed, obviously, but the default setting is professional human, not “angry furniture with a radio.”
Can you do gate plus roaming?
Yes — and that is usually one of the most sensible setups. One person stuck on a gate while the rest of the site goes full side quest is not always the play. Two-person or multi-staff coverage often makes way more sense.
Can you help with intoxicated patrons?
Yes. That is basically part of event life. We deal with intoxication, agitation, awkward behavior, boundary pushing, and the occasional person who has mistaken “festival freedom” for “I answer to no laws of God or man.”
Do you do overnight security?
Yep. Nights are usually when the random goblin behaviour begins, so overnight coverage can be one of the smartest things you book — especially for campgrounds, restricted areas, site gear, vehicles, and infrastructure.
How much notice do you need?
More is better. Always. But if your event is coming in hot and the planning has been held together by vibes and screenshots, still send it through. We will tell you what is realistic.
Need Security That Knows How Events Actually Work?
If you need proper gate coverage, roaming response, overnight watch, or calm professional staff who can handle both pressure and people — let’s talk. If the situation is actively on fire, medically urgent, or someone is trying to speedrun the apocalypse, call 111 first. We are good... but not “final boss of emergency services” good.
